Beautiful morning
Starting to feel like I'm getting a handle of gouache! It's exciting! Still a long way to go but at least there's some improvement. Really tried to pay attention to my value range in these as well as getting the perspective right with a more careful drawing in the second one.

Some 25 min poses over at Studio117B in San Gabriel. Starting to get a bit more comfortable with the charcoal, but still too reliant on the outline right now.

Daily Plein Air Paintings
Recently I've realized that there's no point in trying to create full digital illustrations without fully understanding foundations. I'm gonna put down the stylus for a bit and really drill the foundations of landscape and figure drawing before I try something that's beyond me at the moment. Here's a couple from the rose bowl this morning. 3x5 in gouache as always!
